Job summary

A leading service provider in the energy sector is hiring Journeyperson Pipefitters in Conklin, AB for a permanent role. Candidates should have a minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in the oil and gas industry, hold a valid Journeyperson Steamfitter-Pipefitter certificate, and be proficient in English. The position offers competitive benefits after 300 hours worked, includes a 7 days in/out schedule, and requires drug and alcohol testing for safety compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ maintenance experience in the oil and gas industry.
• Turnaround experience is preferred.
• Must meet minimum mandatory safety ticket requirements.
• Meet minimum mandatory safety ticket requirements: H2S Alive, CSTS 2020 or CSO, Confined Space Entry, Fall Protection.
• Physically capable of demanding tasks.
• Proficient in English, both written and verbal.
• Must have own reliable transportation to other Cenovus site.
• Valid driver’s license and clean 5-year Driver’s Abstract with under 6 demerits.

Responsibilities

• Install pipes, fittings, and valves vital for industrial operations.
• Work in various demanding job conditions.
• Complete drug and alcohol testing as it's a safety sensitive position.
• Respond to on-site maintenance needs and repairs as required.
• Travel to Cenovus sites as needed and adhere to schedule.
