Job summary

FLINT Corp. is actively seeking Iron Workers and Pipefitters for the Fort McMurray Capital Project in Fort McMurray, AB. The role involves 14/7 rotation with 11-hour days, OT after 8 hours, and on-site duties including welding, piping, and structural installation.

Candidates must hold a valid Journeyperson or Apprentice trade certificate, have at least 4 years in oil & gas construction, and meet safety ticket requirements. English proficiency and reliable transportation to site are essential.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in English, written and verbal.
  • Must have valid safety tickets and be able to meet site ticket requirements.
  • No virtual option; in-person attendance required for tickets such as Fall Protection and Aerial Work Platform.

Responsibilities

  • Perform construction tasks including Exchangers, Tie-ins, Bolt-up/Welding, Piping, and Structural Installation.
  • Work 14/7 rotation with 11-hour days and OT after 8 hours.
  • Maintain safety standards and comply with project requirements.
  • Use own transportation to the site and maintain a valid driver’s license.

Details
  • Scope of Work: Construction, Exchangers, Tie-ins, Bolt-up/ Welding, Piping, Structural Installation
  • 14/7 Rotation
  • 11-hour days with OT after 8 hrs/44 hours in the week as per employment standards
  • FI/FO with flight hubs in Edmonton and Calgary
  • Camp Accommodation

Qualifications
  • Valid Journeyperson or Apprentice Trade certificate.
  • Minimum 4 years in oil and gas construction projects preferred.
  • Meet minimum mandatory safety ticket requirements:
    • Common Safety Orientation
  • No virtual option — in-person attendance required for the following ticket requirements.
    • Fall Protection
    • Aerial Work Platform
  • Welders are to provide the following tickets:
    • CWB
    • B-Pressure
  • Physically capable of performing demanding job tasks in various work conditions.
  • Proficient in English, both written and verbal communication required.
  • Must have your own reliable transportation to the site.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean 5-year Driver’s Abstract with under 6 demerits.

Additional Information This position has been identified as a safety sensitive position and will require completion of drug and alcohol testing.
