Zusammenfassung

The Department of Housing, Addictions and Homelessness in Winnipeg invites applications for a Maintenance Tradesperson / Painter. This full-time position supports painting, maintenance and repairs of provincially owned properties and district buildings.

Reporting to the Supervisor, the successful journeyperson will perform painting, surface finishes, drywall prep, and assist with project scopes. Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada and possess a valid journeyman certificate.

Qualifikationen

• Journeyperson experience in painting & decorating.
• Professional experience in paint and coating application for various surfaces.
• Experience in surface preparation including drywall repair, patching, mudding and sanding.
• Experience preparing accurate estimates for work orders and materials.
• Knowledge of Workplace Safety and Health Act, safety policies and procedures.
• Strong interpersonal and client service skills; ability to work with diverse tenants and the public.
• Excellent organization and time management skills.
• Strong verbal communication skills.

Aufgaben

• Paint and maintenance services in owner facilities, including painting, surface finishes, mixing paint, and using brushes, rollers or spray equipment.
• Prepare scopes of work for maintenance and repairs; assist contractors or trades helpers as needed.
• Position does not have supervisory responsibilities.
