Job summary

Heidelberg Materials Canada Limited is seeking a skilled maintenance technician to inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment across our plants in Canada. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues, and document all work accurately.

You will collaborate with operations to prioritize repairs and support production goals while adhering to safety procedures and company standards.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot/repair heavy-duty equipment.
• Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to work independently and adapt to changing operational needs.

What You'll Be Doing

• Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair heavy equipment, trucks, and plant machinery to maintain safe and reliable operations.
• Perform preventative maintenance and equipment servicing to minimize downtime.
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues using appropriate tools and testing equipment.
• Complete maintenance documentation, work orders, and equipment records accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with operations teams to prioritize repairs and support production goals.

What Are We Looking For

• Strong mechanical aptitude with the ability to troubleshoot and repair heavy-duty equipment and machinery.

Conditions of Employment
