Job summary

Prairie Spirit School Division invites applications for a Journeyperson HVAC Technician. Working within the maintenance team, you will support upkeep of schools and buildings across the division, reporting to the Facilities Supervisor.

This CUPE position starts September 1, 2026, or mutually agreed start date, with full-time hours, Monday to Friday, based out of the School Services Building in Warman, SK.

Compensation is $45.25 per hour and includes an enhanced pension and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Possess a Journeyperson Red Seal Refrigeration Mechanic Certificate with commercial gas ticket or a Journeyperson Plumber with commercial gas ticket.
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial plumbing installations and maintenance of commercial plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Related training or experience in building maintenance or construction is an asset.
• Be a strong team member, a good communicator, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Overview

Prairie Spirit School Division invites applications for the position of Journeyperson HVAC Technician. HVAC professionals work collaboratively as part of the maintenance team and support the division in the maintenance of our schools & buildings. This CUPE position starts September 1, 2026, or mutually agreed upon start date, and reports directly to the Facilities Supervisor. The compensation for this position is $45.25 per hour and includes an enhanced pension and benefits package. The successful candidate will be required to work full‑time hours, Monday to Friday, based out of the School Services Building located in Warman, SK, approximately 25 kilometres from Saskatoon, providing service to schools throughout the division.

Qualifications

• Possess a Journeyperson Red Seal Refrigeration Mechanic Certificate with commercial gas ticket or a Journeyperson Plumber with commercial gas ticket.
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience in commercial plumbing installations and maintenance of commercial plumbing and mechanical systems.
• Possess a valid driver's license.
• Related training or experience in all areas of building maintenance or construction would be an asset.
• Be a strong team member and good communicator.
• Be able to work independently with minimal supervision.
