Major Job Functions
Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs (possibility of remote locations)
Interface with customers, products and sales support
Working with the Supervisor on various tasks
Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
Various related duties as required
**Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement**
Specific Skills & Experience
Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
Clean Drivers’ Abstract (5 yr)
Dedication to safety
Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems are considered assets
Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
Engine and/or component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
Previous gas engine and power generation experience wouldbe considered an asset
Note:
This is a position based out of our Prince George, BC branch on a Monday to Friday (5x2) rotation
A condition of employment may be the ability to obtain Customer Site Access (may include Drug & Alcohol, and Fitness testing)
Some of Finning’s customers are situated in remote locations
Must live in the Prince George area or be willing to relocate
Ability to wear a respirator
Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement.
