Finning Canada is seeking the best Journeyperson Heavy Duty Mechanics (Red Seal preferred) to join our team in Surrey. Our Heavy Duty Mechanics are responsible for the troubleshooting, maintenance and repair of a variety of Caterpillar general line, forestry and mining equipment.

Job Description:
Major Job Functions
- Trouble shooting equipment and perform equipment repairs
- Interface with customers, products and sales support
- Working with the Supervisor on various tasks
- Providing support with reference to on-site safety requirements
- Maintain Finning Customer Service Commitment
- Various related duties as required
**Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current Collective Agreement**
Specific Skills & Experience
- Interprovincial Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Certification
- Minimum 2 years experience as a Heavy Duty Technician
- Dedication to safety
- Strong experience in Electrical, Hydraulic and Emissions systems are considered assets
- Engine and/or Component rebuilding experience would be considered an asset
- Transmission or Hydraulic testing would be considered an asset
- Previous Gas Engine and Power Generation experience wouldbe considered an asset
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal
- Understanding of the Caterpillar product line will be considered an asset
Note:
- This is a position based out of our Surrey branch on a 5x2 schedule
- Ability to wear a respirator
- Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement
