Journeyperson HVAC – Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge

Overview: Anticipated Start Date: ASAP. Employer: Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge. Position: Full-Time, Permanent. Staff Accommodation: Yes (subject to availability). Wage Range: TBD hourly.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for all HVAC related trade work at the Fairmont Jasper Park Lodge
  • Installation, repair and maintenance of all HVAC equipment
  • Preventative maintenance of equipment pertaining to HVAC
  • Ensure all work in the HVAC department complies with federal and provincial codes and regulations
  • Ensure power tools are in good and safe working conditions
  • Maintain a flexible work schedule based on volume of business
  • Train and assist the shift maintenance colleagues
  • Assist other trades as they relate to HVAC maintenance
  • Communicate effectively and professionally with both guests and colleagues
  • Adhere to the hotel’s vehicle handling and safety policies while driving hotel and guest vehicles
  • Other duties as assigned

Position Requirements / Qualifications
  • English fluency; level: Intermediate
  • High school and/or technical school education required
  • Provincial Journeyperson’s certificate for Province of Alberta required
  • Background in HVAC experience or general knowledge of the trade required
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Gas Fitting Ticket is an asset
