A leading company in power generation, Finning International Inc. is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician in Surrey, BC. The successful candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing a range of electrical and power generation equipment. Responsibilities:
Union Membership: You are required to become a member of the Union associated with this position. This will be effective immediately and will result in union dues being deducted from your pay. The terms and conditions of your employment will be governed by the collective agreement.
Notes:
Homebase for this position will be Surrey Power Systems, but you may be required to travel to locations throughout British Columbia and Yukon This will be a 5x2 shift with a potential to work a 7x7 or 14x14 continuous shift A condition of employment is the ability to be fit tested and the ability to wear a respirator Any future shift changes that may occur will be made in accordance with the terms and conditions of the Collective Agreement Candidate selection will be in compliance with the terms of the current collective agreement
Qualifications:
Journeyperson Electrician Certification (Red Seal preferred) FSRA or FSRB credential would be considered an asset Power Generation experience would be considered an asset Generator Rebuild experience would be considered an asset Heavy Duty Mechanical experience or certification would be considered an asset Team player capable of working with minimal supervision, in challenging conditions Safety conscious team player with excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills with a high attention to detail Valid driver’s license with a successful recent drivers abstract
