Job summary

Nexsource Power Inc. in Red Deer, AB is seeking Journeyman or Apprentice HET or Millwrights for field and shop work.

You will overhaul engines across multiple makes, set up timing on spark ignition engines, and program generator controls in a fast paced environment. Travel to remote sites, work from camps or hotels when required, mentor junior staff and apprentices, and ensure compliance with OH&S, NPI and client standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience overhauling engines across makes/models.
• Must have safety tickets (First Aid/CPR, H2S, CSTS, CSO).

Responsibilities

• Set up and adjust timing on spark ignition engines.

• Complete retrofits on generator packages.

Our Red Deer, AB location is looking for highly motivated Journeyman or Apprentice HET or Millwrights for field and shop work. We are growing and we need reliable, committed HET or Millwrights to join our team. Contractors are welcome to apply.

• A minimum of 2 years of mechanical maintenance and service — preference given to applicants with previous power generation experience
• Experience overhauling all makes and models of engines
• All industry required safety tickets, including First Aid/CPR, H2S (Enform/Energy Safety Canada), CSTS (ACSA), and CSO (Energy Safety Canada)
• An excellent attitude
• Ability to work independently and cohesively within groups
• Exceptional organizational skills
• Professionalism and a very strong customer service focus
• A valid driver's licence and an excellent 3-year abstract

Tasks & Responsibilities
