Job summary

Kibbi is seeking an experienced Automotive Technician in Canada to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of vehicles and truck-trailer systems. You will work in a dynamic shop environment, handle diagnostics, perform scheduled maintenance, and advise customers on repairs and future needs.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of hands-on experience, an Automotive Service Technician Certification with Red Seal, and a commitment to quality workmanship and safety.

Qualifications

• 3 years to less than 5 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance.
• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma.
• Certifications: Automotive Service Technician Trade Certification and Red Seal Certificate.

Responsibilities

• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of commercial transport truck systems.
• Inspect and test mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Inspect mechanical units to locate faults and malfunctions.
• Inspect motor in operation.
• Review work orders.
• Road test motor vehicles.
• Test automotive systems and components.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of automotive systems.
• Adjust, repair or replace parts and components of truck-trailer systems.
• Repair or replace mechanical units or components.
• Test and adjust repaired systems to manufacturer's specifications.
• Estimate parts and labour cost to perform vehicle maintenance and repairs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance service.
• Test and adjust units to specifications.
• Advise customers on work performed and future repair requirements.
• Complete reports to record problems and work performed.
• Provide customer service
