Job summary

National Tank Services, part of the Trimac Family of Companies, is seeking a journeyman mechanic in Saskatoon to perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers, inspect and service braking, electrical and suspension systems, and support safe, compliant equipment.

The role requires two years of verifiable mechanic experience; Red Seal or CVIP is an asset. Compensation includes $41.51/hour with afternoon and weekend premiums, plus benefits and a sign-on package.

• Red Seal is an asset.
• CVIP Certification is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers.
• Inspect tires, wheels, brakes, air systems, clutch/linkage, starting system, electrical system, brakes, suspension and pump rebuilds as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and use PPE.

Pay Details

• $41.51/hour
• Afternoon shift premium
• Weekend shift premium

Schedule

• 7:00 am - 3:30 pm (Monday - Friday - first 90 days of employment)
• 2:00 pm - 12:30 am (Sunday - Wednesday - after 90 days of employment)
• 4 days on/3 days off

Responsibilities

• Preventative maintenance on the truck, but must be open to work on trailers as well.
• Preventative maintenance on checking tires, wheels, brakes, air systems, clutch/linkage, starting system, electrical system, PM's, electrical work, brakes, suspension and product pump rebuilds.
• Follow safety and use of proper PPE.
• Follow procedures.

• CVIP Certification is an asset.
• Two years verifiable mechanic experience.
• Operation of hand and air tools.
