Pembina Pipeline Corporation is actively hiring an Interprovincial Tradesman to join our team in the Irma area. This opportunity is open to candidates from a broad range of standard industrial trade backgrounds, including Instrumentation, Electrical or Mechanical disciplines. Reporting to the Alliance Heartland Region Foreman, this role supports the Alliance Canada South operational area within
Pembina’s Operations division.
Pembina has expanded its asset base through the acquisition of key natural gas and refined product infrastructure, providing customers with access to high‑value markets under long‑term, fee‑for‑service contracts. The Alliance Pipeline part of the Transmission & Extraction Operations assets is a 3,848‑kilometre (2,391‑mile) integrated system connecting Canada and the U.S., transporting rich natural gas from the Western Canadian Sedimentary Basin and Williston Basin to the Chicago hub.
This role performs hands‑on operations and maintenance activities at compressor stations, block valves, pipeline facilities, and related electrical, instrumentation, and mechanical equipment. As part of a field‑based operations team, the successful candidate will support day‑to‑day reliability, troubleshooting, asset protection, regulatory compliance, and after‑hours response across the operating area. The primary reporting location and day‑to‑day work will be within the Alliance Canada South area, although some travel will be required to support the broader Alliance asset as operational needs arise.
Applications are welcome from candidates residing in Wainwright, Irma, or Edmonton area, along the pipeline ROW; however, the Wainwright area is the preferred base location for this position.
This position is considered “Safety Sensitive” and so will require Pre‑Employment Drug & Alcohol Testing which includes testing for marijuana metabolites.
You may also be required to provide a Driver’s Abstract.
The successful candidate must be legally able to work in the country of the position. The final candidate will be required to undergo Pre‑Employment Background Checks including a Criminal Record Check.
