Job summary

BGIS is seeking a Journeyperson Plumber for our Thunder Bay, ON facility. The role requires a valid Journeyman plumbing license and a minimum of five years’ licensed experience. You will diagnose, install, maintain and repair plumbing systems in commercial settings while adhering to safety standards and company policies.

The successful candidate will read blueprints, coordinate with facilities teams and participate in on-call rotations as needed to keep client operations running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Journeyman plumbing license.
• Minimum 5 years’ licensed plumbing experience.
• College diploma or certification in plumbing.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret specifications.
• Strong dedication to safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing.
• Interpret blueprints, drawings and specifications to map layout of plumbing system.
• Install, replace and repair valves, pumps and fixtures in plumbing systems.
• Test pipes for leaks and other problems.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance of facility plumbing systems.
• Respond to routine service requests and ensure facility uptime.
