Job summary

Broadstreet Properties Ltd is hiring a Full Time Permanent Journeyman Plumber to provide stable, year-round service across our multi-family residential communities in the Calgary region. You will handle service calls, maintain systems, and ensure reliable operation in a professional team setting.

Requirements include Red Seal certification, Journeyman plumbing experience, boiler/hot water system experience, a valid driver’s license, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Red Seal Plumber certification required.
  • Journeyman/Journeyperson plumbing experience required.
  • Experience servicing boilers, hot water tanks and makeup air units.
  • Valid driver's license with clean abstract.
  • Effective communication verbally and in writing.
  • Able to work independently under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Able to travel across the Calgary region and occasionally to southern sites.

Responsibilities

  • Tend to service calls and maintenance programs.
  • Maintain and repair plumbing systems across multi-family communities.
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance.
  • Maintain stock of commonly used parts and filters; order replenishment.
  • Propose changes to improve operation and efficiency of systems.
  • Develop goals and priorities; assign tasks and projects.
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of tasks and projects.
  • Keep detailed maintenance reports and documentation.
  • Stay updated on changes in technology, compliance, and repair techniques.
  • Train site staff on mechanical systems.

You’ll be responsible for maintaining and repairing plumbing systems across our multi-family residential communities within planned schedules. Your contribution to the team includes:
  • Tend to service calls
  • Tend to the maintenance and preventative maintenance programs, including maintaining and cleaning of all plumbing equipment
  • Test repaired equipment for proper performance
  • Maintain a supply of regularly used parts and filters in stock, ordering replenishment as necessary.
  • Propose changes or modifications to plans to enhance operation and efficiency of systems plans and specifications for sanitation facilities.
  • Develop goals and priorities; assign tasks and projects
  • Ensure accuracy and completion of assigned tasks and projects
  • Keep detailed and accurate maintenance reports and documentation
  • Maintain a working knowledge of changes in technology, compliance and repair techniques
  • Train site staff on mechanical systems
What you need to be successful:
  • Red Seal Plumber certification
  • Experience as a Journeyman/Journeyperson Plumber
  • Experience servicing boilers, hot water tanksand make up air units
  • Possess a valid driver's license and clean drivers abstract
  • Effectivecommunicationboth verbally and in writing
  • Able to work well independentlyunder pressure in a busy environment
  • Experience with routine maintenance operations
  • Able to deal with people sensitively, tactfully, diplomatically, and professionally at all times
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Able to travel across the Calgaryregion
  • Able to travel once in a while to other southern sites like medicine, hat, or Lethbridge
