Job summary

Ainsworth, a GDI company, is seeking Journeyman Plumber(s) for project, installation and commercial mechanical work in Alberta. Immediate openings. You will join a team delivering service, installation, and maintenance with a focus on safety, quality, and customer service.

These roles require Red Seal Journeyman certification, strong mechanical knowledge, a valid Alberta driver’s license, and the ability to work well both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Red Seal Journeyman certification required.
• Understanding of mechanical installation and local codes.
• Valid Alberta Driver's License.
• Excellent math and problem solving skills.
• Ability to work alone and in a team environment.
• Must be able to lift heavy materials, tools and equipment when required.

Responsibilities

• Able to work with minimal supervision.
• Carry out service work in a professional and respectful manner.
• Read blueprints and determine layouts for plumbing fixtures, water supplies, vent and drainage systems; maintain domestic hot and cold-water systems; install plumbing fixtures.
• Install various types of mechanical equipment and associated piping.
• Install NG (natural gas) distribution piping and size as per code.
• Adhere to safe work practices and provide high level customer service.

• Installation of various types of mechanical equipment and associated piping.
• Install NG (natural gas) distribution piping and size as per code.
• Safe work practices, provide a high level of customer service.
