The Abbotsford School District is seeking a Concession Worker for Colleen & Gordie Howe Middle School. This 10-month, part-time position runs Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM, with eligibility for Extended Health & Dental Plan and Municipal Pension Plan.
Responsibilities include preparing and serving food to students, supervising volunteers, cash handling, and maintaining a clean concession area. Flexibility to move locations may be required in the future.

This unionized position is a 10-month, continuing position based out of Colleen & Gordie Howe Middle School. Hours of work are Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM - 12:30 PM. This position is eligible to participate in the Extended Health & Dental Plan, as well as pension contributions to the Municipal Pension Plan.
Under the general direction of the Feeding Futures Coordinator or designate, the Concession Worker prepares, heats and cooks simple food items, serves students at food counters, supervises volunteers and is responsible for cash handling and calculating cost of supplies.
The Concession Worker is also responsible for clearing tables, cleaning and sanitizing kitchen/concession areas, washing dishes, and performing other duties as assigned.
This position may be requested to move to an alternate location in the future.
Grade 12 diploma, or equivalent, supplemented by a Food Safe Certificate; a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS) Certificate or ability to obtain; Occupational 1stAid level 1, or Emergency 1stAid, or ability to obtain. A minimum of 6 months recent experience working in a concession or kitchen setting. A valid Class 5 BC Driver’s License. As well, incumbents also require the following:
