Job summary

Randstad Canada is seeking an experienced Journeyperson Millwright for a temp-to-perm opportunity in the Nisku/Leduc area of Alberta. The role covers maintenance of heavy rotating equipment, hydraulics and pneumatics, precision alignment, blueprint reading, and collaboration with machinists and welders to keep production on track.

Wage is CA$170 daily with weekly pay during the temporary period, and a stable, long-term career with a global leader.

Qualifications

• Valid Alberta Journeyperson Millwright ticket or Interprovincial Red Seal.
• Proven experience with heavy industrial equipment and oilfield machinery.
• Strong understanding of hydraulics and mechanical systems.
• Excellent troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong English communication, verbal and written.
• Safety-conscious with reliable work ethic.
• Available to start immediately or with minimal notice.

Responsibilities

• Equipment overhaul and repair of heavy rotating equipment, gearboxes, pumps, and drive systems.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hydraulic and pneumatic components.
• Align machinery using laser alignment and precision measuring tools.
• Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, engineering drawings, and OEM manuals.
• Conduct inspections to ensure safety and quality standards.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to minimize downtime.
