Job summary

Suncor in Fort McMurray, Alberta is hiring a Journeyperson Instrumentation Technician to maintain and troubleshoot instrumentation across a large industrial facility.

You will execute planned maintenance, perform walk-downs, and support energy isolation packages, with a 12-hour shift rotation. Applicants must hold Alberta Journeyperson in Instrumentation, Red Seal, and a High School Diploma; relocation requirements may apply.

Qualifications

• Two years of trade experience as a Journeyperson in a large industrial facility.
• Alberta Journeyperson or Interprovincial Red Seal Instrumentation certificate.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Execute planned maintenance and response work.
• Perform walk-downs and help build energy isolation packages.
• Maintenance, testing and troubleshooting of instrumentation and controls.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance performed and equipment deficiencies.
• Provide safety, cost, and operational improvement feedback.
• Participate in the development of maintenance procedures and follow maintenance instructions.
