Job summary

The University of Saskatchewan is seeking a Journey Person Instrumentation and Controls Technician, Operations and Maintenance, to maintain Building Automation Systems (BAS) and HVAC controls across campus facilities.

You will work under the Facilities team, performing preventative and corrective maintenance on instrumentation including Robertshaw, Delta, and Delta V components, in varied conditions and schedules.

Qualifications

• Must have Grade 12 education or GED 12.
• Journeyperson Instrumentation Certificate.
• Electrical Restricted Journeyperson’s License in instrumentation.
• Valid Saskatchewan driver’s license with clean record.
• Experience with BAS, Robertshaw, Delta and Delta V is an asset.
• Strong interpersonal, troubleshooting and time‑management skills.
• Ability to read technical HVAC/process control schematics and use MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on BAS and HVAC controls.
• Support reliability-centered maintenance and preventative maintenance schedules.
• Review design drawings to determine work scope and prepare estimates.
• Plan shop and field installations for clean, efficient execution.
• Coordinate with other trades and propose improvements.
• Procure materials and provide customer service support.
• Work independently or in a team and meet deadlines.
