New West Truck Centres in Calgary, AB is seeking a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy trucks, trailers, and specialized equipment in a modern shop.
Starting wage is $43.45 per hour with premiums for licenses and certifications, comprehensive health, dental, vision, life insurance, EFAP, boot and tool allowances, PPE, and ongoing training to advance your skills.

As a Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic, you'll diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, and commercial equipment while delivering safe, high‑quality repairs that keep our customers on the road.
You'll:
Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy‑duty trucks, trailers, and commercial equipment
Perform preventative maintenance and inspections
Complete Commercial Vehicle Inspections (CVIP) when licensed
Diagnose and repair Detroit Diesel, Cummins, and other heavy‑duty diesel engines
Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, suspension, steering, brake, and air systems
Complete repairs that meet manufacturer and safety standards
Maintain accurate repair documentation
Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician certification
Experience repairing commercial trucks
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Commitment to quality workmanship and safety
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
CVIP Licence
Class 1 or Class 3 Driver's Licence
Experience with Detroit Diesel and/or Cummins engines
You enjoy diagnosing complex issues and take pride in finding the right solution.
