Job summary

SUREPOINT TECHNOLOGIES GROUP is seeking a motivated electrician to join our industrial team. The successful candidate will perform installation, maintenance, and testing of electrical systems including EMT, PVC piping, batteries, solar panels, MCC equipment, heat trace, and VFDs, while interpreting drawings and code specs to ensure high-quality work.

Applicants must be a certified journeyman or indentured apprentice with industrial experience, and must hold H2S Alive and Standard First Aid.

Qualifications

  • Journeyman Electrician or Indentured Apprentice certification required.
  • Experience as industrial electrician field worker required.
  • H2S Alive and Standard First Aid mandatory.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Valid Class 5 Driver's License with clean abstract; flexible schedule.
  • Ability to work in diverse weather conditions.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain safety and follow EH&S policies.
  • Cutting, threading, bending and assembling rigid aluminum and conduit systems.
  • Install and maintain EMT and PVC piping, batteries, solar panels, MCC equipment, heat trace, and VFDs.
  • Interpret drawings, diagrams, and electrical code specs for installation and troubleshooting.
  • Test equipment for current, voltage and ohms.
  • Mentor apprentices and support team to ensure high workmanship.
  • Assist with installation and replacement of equipment in industrial settings.
  • Material ordering and QAQC documents related to projects.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain a continual focus on safety and adhere to all company environmental, health, and safety policies.
  • Complete cutting, threading, bending, and assembling rigid, aluminum and conduit systems.
  • Install and maintain EMT and PVC piping systems, batteries, solar panels, voltage regulators, MCC equipment, heat trace, and VFDs.
  • Interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting.
  • Understand and execute basic circuit fundamentals, alternating current circuit properties, heating and cooling systems, magnetic control and switching circuits, three phase systems, transformers, machines, control and switching/PLC, fire alarm systems, red seal programs, industry network, and applications of electronics.
  • Test electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and OHMS.
  • Responsible for material ordering, and QAQC documents directly associated with the project at hand.
  • Work with continuity meters, gas detection controllers, and live process equipment, ensuring proper isolation and de-pressurization procedures.
  • Journeymen will be expected to work with, mentor, and support apprentices to ensure the highest quality of workmanship across the team.
  • Assist team members with the installation and replacement of equipment in various industrial settings.
Qualifications
  • Certified Journeyman Electrician or Indentured Apprentice.
  • Previous industrial electrician field experience is required.
  • Current H2S Alive and Standard First Aid are mandatory.
  • A respectful attitude with a strong focus on customer service and exceptional communication skills.
  • A valid Class 5 Drivers License with a clean abstract and the ability to maintain a flexible work schedule.
  • Ability to work in diverse weather conditions
