Job summary

Convergint in Fort McMurray, AB is seeking a Journeyperson Electrician with overhead crane experience for our on-site team. You will perform routine maintenance, install and test electrical systems, and respond to service requests in a challenging oil sands environment.

The role requires a valid Journeyperson Electrician ticket, 5+ years of commercial electrical experience, and 10,000 hours of overhead crane operation. A commitment to safety and teamwork is essential.

Qualifications

• Journeyperson Electrician ticket is required.
• Minimum five years as a Journeyperson with commercial electrical experience.
• 10,000 hours of overhead crane experience.
• Understand electrical codes and building design drawings.
• Overhead door experience is an asset.
• Rope access certificate is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace wiring, equipment, and fixtures using hand tools and power tools.
• Install, test, and maintain electrical systems per regulations.
• Perform planned inspections and routine maintenance on facilities.
• Coordinate with colleagues and supervisors; respond to service requests.
• Identify hazards and ensure safety compliance.
