Convergint is recruiting a Journeyperson Electrician for a 2-month contract in Fort McMurray, Alberta. The role features a rotating 14/14 shift with local accommodations provided for the duration.

Responsibilities include routine maintenance, repairs, inspections, and coordination with site supervisors to ensure safe, compliant operations. Qualified candidates will have five years of journeyman experience, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to read plans and apply electrical codes.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years as a Journeyman with industrial/commercial electrical experience.
• Understanding of electrical systems and local/national codes.
• Ability to read building plans and diagrams.
• Strong safety awareness and compliance with OHS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Repair or replace wiring, equipment and fixtures using hand and power tools.
• Install, test and maintain electrical systems and components.
• Troubleshoot issues and advise on safety concerns.
• Complete routine maintenance and respond to maintenance notifications.
• Work with supervision to ensure timely service delivery.
