Position Description

As a Journeyman Electrician, you will be accountable to:

• Perform electrical testing and troubleshooting on HVAC systems to identify and resolve issues promptly.
• Inspect and maintain electrical components, including motors, control panels, sensors, and wiring.
• Diagnose and repair complex electrical problems using diagnostic tools, multimeters, and PLC programming.
• Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement energy-efficient HVAC control strategies.
• Conduct preventive maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
• Document maintenance and repair activities accurately for record-keeping purposes.
• Train and mentor junior technicians in electrical testing procedures and safety protocols.
• Respond to emergency service calls to address critical electrical issues in a timely manner.
• Install, replace, repair and test electrical circuits and equipment such as electrical controls, join and connect wires, test and measure voltage, loads, ground faults integrity of circuits, troubleshoot and isolate faults.
• Electrical troubleshooting knowledge diagnose control and hardware malfunctions
• Highly organized, detail orientated, and an ability to multi-task.
• Assist and/or direct interpreting drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting
• QA/QC testing and documentation
• Willingness to provide guidance and training to electrical apprentices
• The incumbent must be physically fit in order to climb ladders and work at heights
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills
• Adhere to all company environmental, heath, and safety policies and procedures.
• Availability for overtime on weekdays/weekends when required
  
  

Morning Shift: 6:00AM- 2:30PM - Monday to Friday

Required Education & Qualifications

• 2 years of experience as an HVAC Electrical Technician or a related role.
• Proficiency in electrical testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC systems.
• Knowledge of PLC systems, electrical components, and safety protocols.
• Strong diagnostic skills and the ability to work independently to identify and resolve electrical issues.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Commitment to safety protocols
