Job summary

ATCO Frontec seeks a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician to join our Facilities Solutions team in Calgary or Edmonton, AB. The role covers installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems across commercial and industrial facilities.

Project work spans Alberta and Northern Communities. The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and weekends as required, and be able to travel outside Alberta to the Northern Territories.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Certified Electrician (Red Seal) with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
• Strong commercial and residential electrical experience.
• Class 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Able to read drawings and schematics.
• Ability to build and work in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects / deficiencies
• Strong background in construction.
• Ensure all installations comply with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Install electrical wiring, conduit, cable trays, panels, transformers, motors and electrical equipment.
• Assist with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects.
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet the requirements of the appropriate codes.
• Other duties as assigned.

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Calgary or Edmonton, AB, working on a project with several properties across Alberta and Northern Communities.

The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installation, maintenance, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities.

The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required, and be able to travel outside Alberta to the Northern Territories. Tools, uniforms, PPE, work cellphone, and a company vehicle will be provided for work duties.
