Job summary

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman HVAC/R Technician to join our team in Calgary, AB. This position involves preventative and corrective maintenance, modifications, and installations of HVAC systems, along with inspections and project work.

The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience, possess a Class 5 license, and be committed to safety. Work may require after-hours availability and includes supplied uniforms and PPE.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Journeyman HVAC/R Technician.
• Class 5 license and a clean driver's abstract are required.
• Residential and commercial experience considered an asset.

Responsibilities

• Conduct timely inspections, testing, and accurate reporting of equipment defects.
• Perform scheduled maintenance on HVAC and Refrigeration systems.
• Document work completed and materials used accurately.
• Assist in the planning and execution of new work or projects.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Install HVAC systems per specifications.
• Coordinate material needs and deliveries.

Job description

Term: 3 months

Wage: $58-$62 hour

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman HVAC/R Technician to join our ATCO Facility Solution team in Calgary, AB.

The Journeyman HVAC Technician is responsible for preventative and corrective maintenance, inspections, modifications, installation and dismantling of systems. Work may also include projects within the trade to install, maintain, repair and overhaul central air conditioning systems, commercial and industrial refrigeration systems and combined heating, ventilation and cooling systems.

The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and weekends as required. Uniforms, PPE are supplied.

Responsibilities

• Completes timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects/deficiencies.
• Performs scheduled maintenance service on HVAC and Refrigeration systems and fixtures.
• Maintain accurate documentation of work completed and materials used.
• Assists with the scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects.
• Ensures all requirements as specified by the manufacturer of systems and fixtures are met.
• Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations and company standards.
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet environmental protection requirements.
• Install HVAC systems in accordance with construction plans and specifications.
• Assist in planning material needs and coordinating deliveries.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Certified HVAC Refrigeration Mechanic (Red Seal) with a minimum of 5 years of experience.
• Class 5 license and clean drivers abstract required.
