Job summary

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician to join the Facilities Solutions team in Calgary or Edmonton, AB. The role involves installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities across Alberta and Northern Territories.

Travel outside Alberta is required and a company vehicle, tools, PPE and work cellphone are provided. Willingness to work after hours and weekends as needed is required.

Qualifications

• Journeyman Red Seal Electrician with a minimum of 2 years’ experience.
• Strong commercial and residential electrical experience.
• Class 5 license with a clean driver’s abstract.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read drawings and schematics.
• Team-oriented with a commitment to personal and team safety.
• Safety sensitive role requiring pre-employment alcohol & drug test, fit-to-work medical, background check and security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Complete timely inspections, testing and accurate reporting of equipment defects/ deficiencies.
• Work in a strong construction environment.
• Ensure all installations comply with electrical codes and safety standards.
• Install wiring, conduit, cable trays, panels, transformers, motors and electrical equipment.
• Assist with scoping, estimating, planning and execution of new work or projects.
• Ensure all installations, repairs and maintenance meet relevant codes.
• Other duties as assigned.

ATCO Frontec is seeking a Red Seal Journeyman Electrician to join our ATCO Facilities Solutions team in Calgary or Edmonton, AB, working on a project with several properties across Alberta and Northern Communities. The Journeyman Electrician is responsible for installation, maintaining, troubleshooting and repair of electrical systems in commercial and industrial facilities. The successful candidate must be willing to work after hours and on weekends as required, as well as be able to travel outside Alberta to the Northern Territories. Tools, uniforms, PPE, work cellphone, and a company vehicle will be provided for work duties.

Responsibilities
