Job summary

PTW Energy Services seeks a Journeyman Electrician to join our team on industrial construction sites near Anzac, AB. You will install electrical systems, read blueprints, and ensure compliance with code and safety standards.

Ideal candidates hold a Journeyperson certificate with 2+ years of experience, and can read drawings, work with testing tools, and collaborate across trades for safe, efficient project completion.

Qualifications

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate or Red Seal preferred.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in industrial construction electrical work.
• Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems, equipment and components.
• Interpret drawings, blueprints and technical specs.
• Ensure compliance with electrical code and safety regulations.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools.
• Collaborate with trades and contractors on site.
• Complete documentation and reports as required.
• Maintain tools and a clean, safe work environment.

• Wage$ 45- $ 50
• Camp provided
• Travel to site from Calgary or Nisku
• 8-hour travel allowance will be paid per shift
• Shift: 10 days on, 4 days off
• Hours: 12 per day, 8 Regular, 4 Overtime
• Overtime opportunities paid at 1.5x the regular hourly rate

Role Summary

We are seeking a Journeyman Electrician to join our team working on our various construction sites near Anzac, AB. You will install electrical systems on industrial projects/sites.

Key Responsibilities

• Install electrical systems, equipment, and components.
• Interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications.
• Ensure all work complies with electrical code, safety regulations, and company policies.
• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
• Test electrical systems using appropriate tools and equipment.
• Collaborate with other trades and contractors on job sites.
• Complete documentation, work orders, and reports as required.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean, safe work environment.
• Other duties as required.

Qualifications / Requirements

• Valid Journeyperson Electrician Certificate (Red Seal certification preferred)
• Minimum of 2years of experience in industrial construction electrical work
• Valid H2S Alive, Fall Protection, Standard First Aid (Level A or C with CPR/AED), and CSTS 2020
• Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code and OH&S requirements
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents
• Proficient with hand tools, testing devices, and electrical equipment
• Valid driver's licence
• Flexible availability for shift work, overtime, and weekends, with a strong focus on safety and self-direction
• Ability to work in various environments, including heights, confined spaces, and outdoor conditions
