Faber Work is seeking a Journeyman CNC Machinist to join our Calgary shop team. You will operate CNC lathes and mills to produce precise metal components, primarily serving oil/gas and heavy construction clients.

The role requires a CNC Journeyman Machinist designation and experience with steel machining, accurate drawings interpretation, and proactive problem solving. Join us to contribute to a skilled, safety-focused shop environment.

Qualifications

• CNC Journeyman Machinist designation is required.
• Experience operating CNC lathe and/or CNC mill; experience with both is a plus.
• Experience with Okuma and/or Haas equipment is a strong asset.
• Experience producing low-volume, custom machined components for oil/gas or heavy construction clients.
• Experience machining primarily with steel and other metals.
• Strong organizational and coordination skills.
• Ability to find quick solutions and implement them proactively.

Responsibilities

• Operate the CNC lathe and/or mill to accurately cut metal components.
• Read and interpret drawings and fabrication layouts.
• Setup CNC machines and report maintenance needs.
• Operate machines independently and adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with shop team and manager to meet timelines.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace.
• Assist with various shop duties as required.
