Job summary

Civeo Premium Services Employees LP is seeking skilled Carpenters for positions in the Edmonton area, AB. The role involves repairing, installing and dismantling modular structures, using wood, steel and other materials, while complying with building codes and safety standards.

You will read blueprints, frame and finish structures and supervise if needed. Candidates must meet on-site attendance requirements in Edmonton and possess relevant licenses/tickets.

Qualifications

• Journeyman preferred; non-journeyman with 10+ years' experience considered.
• Minimum 5 years in residential/commercial/light industrial construction/renovation.
• Valid Class 5 driver's license with clean abstract.
• Experience with modular buildings is an asset.
• Current tickets: Fall Protection (OSSA), Confined Space/Monitoring (OSSA), Elevated Work Platform, CSTS, First Aid/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Read blueprints and drawings to determine specifications.
• Prepare layouts per building codes using measuring tools.
• Cut, shape, assemble and join materials including wood and substitutes.
• Frame floors, walls, roofs; finish exteriors and interiors.
• Install doors, windows, flooring, cabinets, stairs, and trim.
• Install floor beams, sub-flooring and erect walls/roofs.
• Assemble wood/metal products with fasteners.
• Operate woodworking equipment.
• Repair and remodel existing structures.
• Maintain high safety/quality standards and on-time delivery.
• Suggest improvements to construction processes and tools.
• Prepare cost estimates if needed.
• Supervise apprentices and other workers as required.
