Job summary

Prince Albert Toyota in Saskatchewan is seeking an experienced Journeyman Automotive Technician to join our award-winning service department. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain vehicles using state-of-the-art tools and diagnostics while delivering outstanding customer service.

We offer top wages with semi-annual bonuses, a comprehensive benefits package, and a $5,000 hiring bonus. SGI accreditation is an asset but not required; valid Class 5 license and your own tools are expected.

Qualifications

• Hold a Journeyman certification or Interprovincial Red Seal in Automotive Service Technician.
• Own a comprehensive set of professional automotive hand tools.
• Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 driver's license with a clean abstract.
• Ability to lift heavy parts and use hoists and diagnostic equipment.

Responsibilities

• Diagnostics using advanced scan tools to identify malfunctions.
• Perform component-level and system-wide repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and exhaust systems.
• Carry out preventative maintenance including oil changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and alignments.
• Road-test vehicles and ensure repairs meet factory specs.
• Maintain accurate records of labor hours, parts used and inspection findings.
• Mentor junior apprentices and maintain a safe, compliant work environment.

Core Responsibilities

• Diagnostics: Use advanced scan tools and computerized diagnostic equipment to accurately identify mechanical and electrical malfunctions.
• Repairs: Perform component-level and system-wide repairs on engines, transmissions, steering, suspension, brakes, and exhaust systems.
• Preventative Maintenance: Execute standard servicing like oil changes, fluid flushes, tire rotations, and wheel alignments.
• Quality Assurance: Road-test vehicles and adjust repaired systems to guarantee they meet or exceed factory performance specifications.
• Documentation: Keep accurate records of labor hours, parts used, and inspection findings for service advisors and customers.
• Mentorship: Guide and oversee junior apprentices while maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant work environment

Qualifications & Requirements

• Certification: Hold a Journeyman certification or an Interprovincial Red Seal in the Automotive Service Technician trade.
• Tools: Possess a comprehensive, professional set of automotive hand tools.
• Physical & Technical Skills: The ability to lift heavy parts, use complex heavy equipment (like hoists), and interpret technical service manuals and wiring diagrams.
• Licensing: A valid driver's license (e.g., a Saskatchewan Class 5) with a clean abstract
