Job summary

Wood Automotive Group, a leader with Okotoks Ford Lincoln, seeks a Journeyman Automotive Technician. You will perform AMVIC inspections on used vehicles, pre-delivery inspections on new inventory, and diagnose as well as repair various vehicles.

The role supports our team, may require out-of-province or CVIP licensing as assets, and includes Saturday rotations. We offer strong benefits and a culture focused on growth and community involvement.

Qualifications

• Must be fully licensed as a journeyman automotive technician.
• A current and clean driver's abstract.
• A valid Alberta driver's license (AB).
• Out-of-province inspection license and/or CVIP license are assets.

Responsibilities

• Complete repairs per estimates and timelines.
• Road test vehicles after repairs to ensure quality.
• Maintain high workmanship to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain tools, equipment and shop.
• Diagnose problems using proper procedures.
• Clarify concerns with service advisor as required.
• Recommend additional repairs when needed.
• Complete vehicle inspections (out-of-province and safety inspections).

The Wood Automotive Group, one of Alberta's largest automobile retailers for over 40 years, is offering an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Automotive Technician to join the team at Okotoks Ford Lincoln!

About the Role:

We are searching for a suitable technician to complete AMVIC inspections on used vehicles and any subsequent repairs thereafter. Also, the technician will be required to perform pre-delivery inspections on new inventory. The ideal candidate will have brand experience as well as confidence diagnosing and repairing off-brand vehicles with relevant employment history. An out of province inspection license and/or CVIP license is a definite asset. The technician may also be required to support our existing technicians by helping with customer vehicles when necessary. The hours will be the same as our other technicians and the candidate will be required to be available to work Saturdays on rotation.

Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
