Universal Collision Center Inc. in Regina seeks a Journeyman Auto Body Technician to perform quality body and structural repairs on a wide variety of vehicles, including frame straightening and replacement work.

The ideal candidate has Red Seal Journeyman Certification or equivalent experience, at least five years in a body shop, an unrestricted driver's license, and excellent communication and teamwork skills; join a high-volume shop with modern tools and supportive leadership.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform quality body and structural repairs on a wide range of vehicles, including frame straightening.

• Remove and reinstall interior components and exterior trim.
• Adjust and align mechanical systems affected by collision damage.
• Review damage reports, prepare repair estimates, and outline production schedules.
• Ensure final inspections meet dimensional accuracy and safety standards.
• Comply with Trade Safety Awareness guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform quality body and structural repairs on a wide variety of vehicles, including frame straightening and underbody component replacement.
• Cut away damaged sections using plasma cutters, air grinders, and metal cutting equipment.
• Fit, bolt, and weld replacement panels, fenders, grills, doors, and frame components to precise alignment specifications.
• Remove, repair, and reinstall interior components, windows, vinyl roofs, and exterior metal trim.
• Adjust and align mechanical systems, including headlights, wheels, and brake components affected by collision damage.
• Review damage reports, prepare accurate repair cost estimates, and outline production schedules.
• Perform rigorous final inspections for dimensional accuracy, proper functioning, and overall finish quality.
• Execute all repair operations in strict compliance with Trade Safety Awareness guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 5 years experience in a Body Shop environment.
• Completion of Red Seal Journeyman Certification or equivalent experience.
• Unrestricted drivers license.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Exceptional customer service skills.
• Advanced decision making and problem solving abilities.
• Ability to prioritize and maintain professionalism during high volume periods.
• Self driven to work independently with the ability to work effectively and collaboratively in a team environment.
