POSITION: Journeyman/Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanics

JOB TYPE: Full Time

JOB SUMMARY:
The Agency is supporting a confidential recruitment process for full-time Heavy Duty Mechanics with a minimum 2nd year apprenticeship. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining, repairing, and overhauling equipment used in the oil and gas industry. We are looking for a skilled, safety-oriented professional committed to delivering exceptional service.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Diagnosis and repairs on transport equipment in a safe and timely manner
  • Perform preventative maintenance inspections and repair work ensuring it meets manufacturers' specifications and legislated regulations
  • Coordinate equipment activity with Foremen to ensure regular preventative maintenance and servicing
  • Maintain records of supplies and parts used, and monitor materials required for restocking the shop
  • Carry out weekly service and preventive maintenance of site power generation equipment
  • Interpret work orders, technical manuals, mechanical drawings, and equipment specifications
  • Write service reports and maintain service records
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment
REQUIREMENTS:
  • 2nd year Apprentice to Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic certification
  • Alberta CVIP
  • Current certifications (asset): H2S, First Aid, CSO
  • Valid Class 5 license with air brake endorsement
  • Physically fit to carry out required job duties
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
  • Commitment to safety, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic
