Overview

Our team is looking for a full-time (standard 40-hour work week + overtime), Heavy-Duty Mechanic for our Grande Prairie location.

The Heavy-Duty Mechanic is a skilled professional specializing in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of a wide range of heavy-duty machinery and equipment. This position requires a thorough understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to perform a wide range of tasks, from routine maintenance to more complex mechanical and electrical repairs.

Responsibilities & Position Qualifications

1. Licensed Heavy-Duty Mechanics (journeyperson or apprentice).
2. CVIP and Inspection Certification and experience on trucks and trailers.
3. Able to identify mechanical issues in heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, such as trucks, trailers, construction machinery, and concrete equipment.
4. Perform routine and preventive maintenance to ensure equipment is in safe working condition.
5. Possess a valid Driver’s License and Driver’s Abstract according to company policy.
6. Have excellent organizational capabilities and able to communicate effectively.
7. Willingness to work flexible hours and peak period overtime.
8. Meet all Safety requirements and policies.
9. As this is a safety sensitive position, pre-employment drug screening is in effect.
