Job summary

Trican Well Service Ltd. in Alberta is seeking a Journeyman/3rd-4th Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic for the South Shop (RDC). You will handle servicing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining heavy vehicles and equipment, while upholding safety standards and supporting field operations.

préférence Class 1 license; CVIP asset; strong communication and physical fitness are required. Competitive compensation, health benefits, RRSP matching, and referral programs are offered.

Qualifications

• 3rd or 4th Year Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic cert is required.
• CVIP is considered an asset.
• Class 1 license preferred; Class 3 or 5 considered.
• Heavy Equipment Technician will be an asset.
• Safe driving skills; driver's abstract may be requested.
• Physically fit; heavy lifting required.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Ensure that Trican’s core value, 'Safe equipment and operations' is the priority in all activities.
• Operate a hoist and lift device to position machinery in a safe manner.
• Inspect and examine vehicles and equipment.
• Service, diagnose, repair, assemble, and maintain vehicles and perform other routine maintenance.
• Keep up to date with industry standards and regulations.
• Provide guidance and instruction to less experienced operators or apprentice maintenance personnel.
• Operate a service truck to support field operations.

The Journeyman/3rd/4th Year Apprentice Heavy Duty Mechanic is responsible for the mechanical workings of all vehicles.

Responsibilities:
