Turtle Island News, Canada’s National Indigenous newspaper is seeking an experienced news reporter to cover Indigenous issues not only in our home community but develop news articles on emerging issues. The General News Reporter position allows for combination of in office and online. Involves writing for both a print edition and online edition.

Responsibilities

• Collect, verify and analyze newsworthy information
• Receive assignments or investigate news leads/tips
• Contact, interview and research sources
