Support. Advise. Build loyalty.
The property and casualty insurance advisor contributes to enhancing the experience of a life event, such as the purchase of a new vehicle or a home, by preparing premium quotes and issuing insurance contracts. Advisors assess the specific needs of each member and client, providing support in choosing appropriate coverage and promoting personalized services. Responsibilities include following up on files, analyzing renewals requiring special underwriting, and correcting contracts as needed. The goal is to maintain business relationships and be first in the hearts of our clients. At Desjardins, our insurance agents are evaluated on human objectives that enable them to deliver quality service, without sales pressure.
Listening. Informing. Support. Investigate.
The claims adjuster handles clients' auto and home claims with empathy and professionalism. They investigate claims files, work with all parties involved in the settlement process, and keep the progress updated in our claims management system. They conduct damage assessments, estimate costs and market value, review reports, and determine settlement amounts. The role develops with the complexity of files and offers opportunities for growth into related roles. Claims adjusters manage cases from start to finish, with potential salary increases for handling additional cases.
