The Citadel Theatre in Edmonton is seeking a reliable, customer-service oriented individual to join our Guest Services Department as a part-time Barista.

You will greet patrons, prepare drinks and food items, operate a POS, and maintain a clean, welcoming cafe environment in line with Ghostlight Coffeehouse guidelines.

Flexible hours include mornings, evenings and weekends; prior cafe or customer-service experience is valued; ProServe certification is an asset.

Formación

• 16 years of age or older.
• Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• 1 to 2 years of customer service experience, coffee experience is asset.
• ProServe certification is considered an asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to carry and lift up to 50lbs to shoulder height.

Responsabilidades

• Work closely with Baristas, Managers, and Front of House staff to ensure high customer service to patrons.
• Greet patrons and maintain knowledge of menu to answer questions.
• Prepare drinks and food items per Ghostlight Coffeehouse and AHS guidelines.
• Use a POS system to process transactions, handle cash, run reports, and maintain inventory.
• Assist with stocking pastries, coffee beans, and brewing equipment.
• Maintain a clean and sanitized environment before, during, and after service.
• Perform other duties as requested.

Job (Edmonton): Barista (PT) – Citadel Theatre

The Citadel Theatre, one of Canada’s largest and busiest professional, not-for-profit theatre companies and facilities, is looking for a reliable, customer service oriented individual to provide leadership in our Guest Services Department as a part-time Barista.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• Work closely with a team of Baristas, Managers, and Front of House staff to ensure the highest possible level of customer service to all patrons visiting The Citadel Theatre
• Greet patrons and maintain up to date, knowledge of product and specs to answer any questions that may arise
• Prepare various drinks and food items in accordance with Ghostlight Coffeehouse and AHS guidelines
• Use a POS system to process transactions, handle cash, run reports, and maintain inventory with a high level of accuracy and integrity
• Assist with stocking inventory such as pastries, coffee beans; stocking brewing equipment, etc.
• Maintaining a clean and sanitized environment before, during, and after service
• Other duties as requested

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• 16 years of age or older
• Available to work flexible hours including early mornings, evenings and weekends.
• Fast learner
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
• Able to work well with others
• 1 to 2 years of customer service experience, coffee experience is considered an asset
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to problem solve and think on your feet
• Ability to comfortably carry and lift up to 50lbs to shoulder height
• ProServe certification is considered an asset

This is a part time position and the hourly wage is $16. The number and length of shifts may vary based upon our show and rental schedules and needs.
