TalentWorld is looking for a Cost Estimator – Data Centers to join a leading data design provider in Montreal, QC.
This role is essential for analyzing and estimating the costs of construction and infrastructure projects, ensuring profitability, optimizing budgets, and minimizing financial risks.

Competitive salary between $70,000 and $89,000

Partial remote work available

Schedule: 9 AM to 5 PM

Responsibilities of the Cost Estimator – Data Centers:

1. Evaluate and estimate costs for construction, electrical, and mechanical infrastructure projects
2. Analyze blueprints, technical specifications, and client requirements to determine resource needs
3. Develop detailed cost breakdowns and budget forecasts
4. Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and project management teams to refine estimates
5. Conduct profitability analyses and benchmarking to optimize expenditures
6. Consult with and negotiate terms from suppliers and subcontractors
7. Maintain and update internal cost databases in line with market trends and fluctuations
8. Prepare detailed estimation reports to support strategic planning and decision-making

Qualifications for the Cost Estimator – Data Centers position:

1. 5+ years of experience in cost estimation, preferably in industrial construction, data centers, or critical infrastructure
2. In-depth knowledge of budgeting, financial analysis, and cost optimization techniques
3. Experience with estimation software (e.g., Procore, Sage Estimating, CostX, Bluebeam)
4. Familiarity with building codes and regional construction regulations
5. Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
