Synechron, a global consulting firm, seeks a Java back-end developer to join our team and deliver key initiatives in the financial services arena. You will design, implement, and maintain server-side apps, APIs, and microservices using Spring Boot and related technologies.

You will work with cross-functional teams, participate in code reviews, and contribute to CI/CD and DevOps practices while ensuring quality and security across platforms.

Formación

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Java back-end development.
• Strong expertise in Spring Framework (Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security).
• Experience with RESTful APIs, microservices architecture, and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong understanding of SQL and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Redis).
• Familiarity with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab, or GitHub Actions.
• Proficiency with version control systems (Git) and agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban).
• Experience with message brokers (e.g., Kafka, RabbitMQ) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Our challenge

We are looking for a Java developer to join our team and help deliver key initiatives. The candidate should be a solid Java programmer, with strong design and implementation fundamentals. Prior experience in finance or legal operations will be useful, however, the ability and willingness to quickly master new technical and business concepts will be considered. The candidate will collaborate with an energetic team of highly intellectual and creative developers working on bleeding edge projects using a variety of different technologies.

Additional Information*

The base salary for this position will vary based on geography and other factors. In accordance with law, the base salary for this role if filled within Calgary, AB is CAD $80k – CAD $85k/year & benefits (see below).
