Job summary

Synechron is seeking a highly skilled Senior Java Developer for their Mississauga office. The role involves designing and implementing various Java-based solutions ranging from mobile applications to database programming.

Successful candidates will collaborate with peers to develop high-availability systems, contribute to the development lifecycle, and monitor system performance, utilizing strong Java proficiency and best programming practices.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Java with a good understanding of its ecosystems.
• Knowledge of OOPS Patterns and Concepts.
• Familiarity with design and architectural patterns.
• Experience in writing reusable Java libraries.
• Understanding of Java concurrency patterns.
• Basic knowledge of MVC, JDBC, and RESTful services.
• Relevant knowledge of Java GUI frameworks.
• Ability to create database schemas supporting business processes.
• Knowledge of JVM drawbacks and workarounds.
• Experience with unit testing and automated platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of version control tools like Git.
• Understanding of build tools such as Ant, Maven, Gradle.

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Java Developer to join our company. In this role, candidate will design, create, and implement various Java-based solutions for the business that will range from mobile applications to database programming.

Responsibilities

• Designing and developing high-volume, low-latency applications for mission-critical systems and delivering high-availability and performance
• Contributing in all phases of the development lifecycle
• Improve existing systems by adding new features in line with business specifications
• Monitor performance and implement innovative solutions to improve the overall system
• Collaborate with peers and team members to build scalable, secure, and quality products
• Perform regular checks and follow best practices to develop, deploy, and maintain software
• Deployment of new features and products into the production environment.

Required skills and qualifications

• Proficiency in Java, with a good understanding of its ecosystems
• Sound knowledge of OOPS Patterns and Concepts
• Familiarity with different design and architectural patterns
• Skill for writing reusable Java libraries
• Knowhow of Java concurrency patterns
• Basic Understanding of the concepts of MVC (Model-View-Controller) Pattern, JDBC (Java Database Connectivity), and RESTful web services
• Relevant Knowledge of Java GUI frameworks like Swing, SWT, AWT according to project requirements
• Skilled at creating database schemas that characterize and support business processes
• Basic knowledge of JVM (Java Virtual Machine), its drawbacks, weaknesses, and workarounds
• Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests
• In-depth knowledge of code versioning tools, for instance, Git
• Understanding of building tools like Ant, Maven, Gradle, etc.
