Job summary

Collabera in Toronto is seeking an experienced Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain Java/J2EE based client solutions. You will implement modules, build web services, and ensure code quality across teams.

The role requires strong OO design, hands-on Java/J2EE knowledge, and the ability to communicate technical issues with peers, architects and project managers. Node.js is a plus and 3–5 years of experience are expected depending on level.

Qualifications

• Solid technical skills. Need to know Java, J2EE (JSP, Servlet, EJB, and WebServices) inside and out.
• Intermediate Developer: must have at least 3 years' experience in software development using Java/J2EE technologies
• Senior Developer: must have at least 5 years' experience in software development using Java/J2EE technologies
• Hands on experience with building web services
• Solid experience and very good understanding of client server architecture and Object Oriented Programming concepts
• Experience with Node.JS is a plus

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and integrate code for various client software systems and applications
• Design beautiful interfaces that make it easy for users to complete their work
• Communicate technical problems to peers, architects and project manager and recommend solutions
• Conduct unit and regression testing
• Write and maintain documentation for internal purposes as well as for the customer.
