Capgemini Canada is seeking a Sr Java Full Stack Developer to join our hybrid team in Mississauga, collaborating closely with product owners, analysts, architects and engineers. You will write clean, unit-tested code, mentor junior staff, apply REST design patterns, and contribute to CI/CD and accessibility goals.

The role demands strong Java and Spring experience, SQL with Hibernate, and familiarity with Docker, NgRx and RxJS within an agile environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• Strong Java and Spring experience.
• Hands-on with RESTful APIs and SQL (Hibernate).
• Experience with CI/CD and automated testing.
• Familiarity with Docker, NgRx and RxJS.
• Agile/Scrum experience and mentoring abilities.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy web applications with clean, tested code.
• Collaborate with product owners, analysts, architects, and QA.
• Mentor juniors and help define coding standards and patterns.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and deployment scripts.

• Job Title : Sr Java Full Stack Developer
• Type : FTE No C2C or Subcontractor
• Mode : Hybrid

JD :

• Exemplary collaboration skills working with product owners, business-analyst, software architects, software engineers and quality engineers
• Experience serving as a strong hands-on technical team member producing clean, unit-tested code.
• Experience mentoring junior staff and defining coding standards and standard methodologies
• Experience applying Software Engineering Architecture and Design Patterns (OO, Functional, REST)
• Strong experience of Java and Spring
• Strong experience of SQL and Object Relational Mapping (Hibernate)
• Familiarity with SASS/SCSS and developing for accessibility
• Solid Understanding of Docker, NgRx, and RxJS are a bonus
• Passion for continuous integration and continuous delivery
• Experience focusing on accessibility using a screen reader and other tools
• Experience and knowledge of RESTful API's or other Web Services.
• Design, develop and implement web applications, including adherence to coding standards, and building/running appropriate unit and integration tests and deployment scripts.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills; Strong teamwork skills with the ability to collaborate with other developers and co-workers including distributed team members.
• Partner with QA to own the quality of the product.
• Ability to use or learn Design Patterns.
• Agile/Scrum experience or basic knowledge.
• Bachelor's in computer science or equivalent
