Job summary

Delpath in Toronto, Canada is seeking a senior Full Stack Java Developer to design, build, and maintain complex cloud-native applications. You will work across Java/Spring Boot, REST APIs, and front-end frameworks to deliver robust microservices.

The role requires extensive hands-on experience with Spring Boot, React/Angular, SQL/NoSQL, and cloud-native deployments on GCP. Expect a 9am–5pm schedule, with a 10/26/2026 to 06/30/2027 contract duration and potential for extension based on

Qualifications

• 8+ years of full stack development experience.
• 5+ years with Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA.
• Strong experience with RESTful APIs and Microservices architecture.
• Proficiency in Angular and/or React.
• Experience with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Git, CI/CD, and Agile delivery practices.
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably GCP.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Integrate applications with enterprise systems, databases, messaging platforms, and third-party services.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Refinement, Daily Stand-Ups, and Retrospectives.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, and release management activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and implement sustainable solutions while adhering to security, compliance, and operational standards.

Schedule Hours: 9am-5pm Monday-Friday; standard 37.5 hrs/week

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Design, develop, test, and maintain full-stack applications using Java, Spring Boot, REST APIs, and Microservices.
• Develop and deploy cloud-native solutions utilizing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
• Integrate applications with enterprise systems, databases, messaging platforms, and third‑party services.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Refinement, Daily Stand‑Ups, and Retrospectives.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, code reviews, and release management activities.

Candidate Requirements/Must Have Skills:

• 8+ years of Full stack development experience.
• 5+ years of Strong hands‑on experience with:
• - Spring Boot, Spring Security, Hibernate/JPA
• - RESTful APIs and Microservices Architecture
• - Angular and/or React
• - SQL and NoSQL databases
• - Git, CI/CD, and Agile delivery practices
• Experience with cloud platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

Nice-To-Have Skills:

• Banking or financial services experience.
• - Experience with Kafka, Pub/Sub, Event‑Driven Architecture, and API security frameworks (OAuth2, JWT).
• - Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Dynatrace, or Grafana.
• - Cloud certifications and experience working in large-scale enterprise environments.

Best vs. Average Candidate:

The ideal candidate would be an experienced Full Stack Java Developer with strong experience with Java, React, Kafka and SQL. Excellent communication skills, problem-solving and organizational skills are critical for this role.
