Elk Valley Resources (EVR) invites undergraduates to join our team in Sparwood, BC for an 8-month co-op starting January 2027. You will work on data analytics, dashboards, and equipment performance, gaining hands-on experience in a major mining operation.

Responsibilities include analyzing haul truck data, supporting reliability and maintenance projects, and collaborating with vendors and internal teams. This role emphasizes safety, learning, and professional growth.

Qualifications

• Working toward an undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Analytics, or Computer Science.
• Valid Class 5 Driver's License or equivalent, without learner's restrictions preferred.
• Ability to operate vehicles at our operations in various weather and terrain.
• Motivated self-starter capable of managing multiple projects.
• Comfortable working outdoors in a dynamic environment.
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).

In this role, you will:

Requirements:

• Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Business Administration, Analytics, or Computer Science
• A valid Class 5 Driver's License or extra-provincial equivalent, without learner's restrictions is preferred
• Able to operate vehicles at our operations, in various weather conditions and terrain
• Motivated self-starters with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
• Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment with a willingness to work outdoors
• Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas to all levels and partners
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)

Salary: $4,117 - $5,192 CAD/month

Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co-op experiences completed.
