Elk Valley Resources (EVR) invites motivated undergraduates in Finance or Engineering to join our Elk Valley operations for a 8 or 12 month co‑op starting January 2027. You will support PLTE/CAS initiatives, craft dashboards, and map processes while gaining hands‑on mining operation experience in varied weather and terrains.

You will work with teams to analyze data, present findings, and participate in fieldwork, all while developing technical skills and professional networks within a globally

Formación

  • Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Finance or Engineering.
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Motivated self-starters with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic environment with willingness to work outdoors and operate vehicles at our operations.

Responsabilidades

  • Participate in health and safety programs and policies.
  • Use advanced knowledge of computer software: MS Office, databases and graphics programs.
  • Collaborate with teams on PLTE and CAS systems for continuous improvement.
  • Apply understanding of supply chain and process mapping.
  • Present information clearly to all levels and assist with focus groups and planning.
  • Report on dispatch KPIs and work with dispatch to improve dynamic dispatch.
  • Participate in fieldwork to gather data and understand operational processes.
  • Maintain a positive attitude when facing challenges and delays.
  • Perform other duties as required.

In this role, you will:
  • Participate in and adhere to health and safety programs and policies
  • Use advanced knowledge of computer software programs; particularly Microsoft Office Suite®, database management systems and graphics programs
  • Work collaboratively with various teams on initiatives related to PLTE and CAS systems, contributing to continuous improvement efforts
  • Use your understanding of supply chain and process mapping
  • Use excellent interpersonal skills including the ability to present information, assist with focus groups and project planning, while communicating clearly to all levels of the organization
  • Reporting on dispatch KPI's and working directly with dispatch to further implement dynamic dispatch.
  • Participate in fieldwork to gather data and immerse yourself in projects, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of operational processes
  • Demonstrate an ability to maintain a positive attitude when dealing with challenges and delayed timelines
  • Other responsibilities as required or as assigned
Requirements:
  • Working towards an Undergraduate degree in Finance or Engineering
  • Familiarity with Power BI, Power Apps, and Power Automate, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
  • Motivated self-starters with the ability to manage several projects simultaneously
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic work environment with a willingness to work outdoors and able to operate vehicles at our operations, in various weather conditions and terrain
  • Strong written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills with a capability to communicate complex ideas to all levels and partners

Salary: $4,117 - $6,167 CAD/month

Salary is commensurate with the number of academic semesters and prior co‑op experiences completed.
