Job summary

Halton Healthcare in Georgetown, ON, is hiring a Permanent Part-time Housekeeper to support accommodation and services. The role includes cleaning patient rooms, dining areas, and related spaces; handling waste and linen; and performing quality checks.

The position requires a secondary school diploma, good English communication, and at least one year of healthcare housekeeping experience. Shifts include rotating 7.5-hour schedules, with 0.10 FTE availability considered.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year recent housekeeping experience, preferably in a Healthcare environment.
• Ability to work independently.
• Ability to lift fifty up to (50) pounds.
• Ability to climb a 4-step platform ladder with handrail.
• Able to operate heavy machinery.
• Must be able to perform the physical demands of the position.
• Satisfactory employment and attendance record required.

Responsibilities

• Comprehensive cleaning including patient rooms and large floor spaces.
• Frequent dry/wet mopping of floors in Food Services areas.
• Transport and disposal of waste, cardboard and soiled linen.
