Job Title: Janitor

Ontario Power Generation (OPG) is seeking a dynamic, strategic, and results-driven professional to join our team as a Janitor. This role reports to the Supervisor of Facility Services and is responsible for custodial and caretaker maintenance inside and outside our facilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform floor maintenance, including sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, and waxing.
• Clean and vacuum rugs, carpets, ceilings, walls, and trims.
• Dust and polish office furniture; clean washrooms and windows.
• Carry out outdoor tasks such as grass cutting and snow shoveling.
• Move furniture as needed and maintain good housekeeping practices.
• Manage cleaning materials and ensure cleanliness across various facilities.
• Operate and understand a range of cleaning equipment and tools.

Qualifications

• High school diploma.
• At least 3 years of maintenance, janitorial, or custodial experience, preferably in an industrial environment.
• Valid G Driver’s License.
• Excellent interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work indoors or outdoors in all weather conditions.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Good judgment and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
